A number of the larger, more ambitious of Angoulême's murals are painted on walls which require them to contend with the presence of windows within their design; another group of smaller paintings take the windows themselves as their canvas.
Here, Lucky Luke (the cowboy who is quicker on the draw than his own shadow) converses amiably with his horse, Jolly Jumper. In the corresponding windows on two higher floors, the villainous Dalton brothers brood, one per window in sulky isolation.
