The Festival, like the mural paintings, is spread throughout the city of Angoulême: not only the temporary marquees and the CNBDI (Comics Museum), but the theatre, the youth centre, the Paper Museum, the Town Hall - all have exhibitions and events to offer. So throughout the Festival, two free shuttle buses run between the different venues - and the STGA (local transport authority) ensures that some of its fleet are suitably decorated for this task.
This year's addition to the fleet is a bus sailing under the colours of that most romantic of voyagers, Corto Maltese.
